Del Frisco's Grille - Hoboken

Service was impeccable, food mediocre... never thought I would go to an upscale steakhouse and have the Thai pork meatballs as being the best thing we ordered... also... salt? Ever heard of it? Really helps bring an ordinary steak to the extraordinary level.. Overall, probably won't be back for a while...

Front of the house was horribly unorganized and had no clue what they were doing assigning tables to people waiting. Had a reservation and still had to wait 30 minutes. The manager didn't seem to have a grasp on his staff and wasn't helping his employees when they were clearly struggling with the wait list. Steak was overcooked, fish and chips were all soggy as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. We were charged a few extra bucks for our steak's “one included side” which wouldn't have been a problem if it was stated on the menu (it wasn't). Our waiter was good but all things out of his control made this a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

This is our second straight disappointing experience with this location. We eat at and enjoy other locations of this restaurant so only conclusion is to avoid this location. The main issue was that we ordered an appetizer to share and then our entrees. The appetizer and the entree came out together which is just ridiculous. I am not even talking about the appetizer coming out and then a few minutes later the entree arrives. The food runner literally arrived at our table with the appetizer in his left hand and my entree in his right hand followed immediately by someone with my wife's entree. The other annoying thing is that I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon and asked for them to leave off the croutons. The waiter repeated my order back twice and both times said no croutons. Of course, the salad arrived loaded with croutons (I just picked them out but at $33 for a salad with salmon I should not have had to). The food was delicious and everything prepared perfectly. But for the prices they charge they really need to get their acts together at this location.

The food was good but the service was poor. The well known VIP drink was basically a pineapple juice. Waiter didn't know much about the menu, food was placed at table without speaking a word. Water was spilled by waiter while pouring, no apologies or clean up. There's many other great places in Hoboken

Great food. sucks we brought mom here for mother’s day because they have an amazing ribeye, but they had “ no steak knifes cleaned and polished” and we struggled to eat our steak with butter knifes. ruined the experience and no accommodations were made just sorrys.
