Small-fry Hobart

It was fun to see the chef preparing the food in front of you. The food itself was good but abit heavy in price for a small portion of food.

Our favourite cafe in Hobart. Lovely coffee, friendly service & absolutely love their food, always freak, trendy & cooked with love.

Don't go to this cafe if you are looking for your own table with traditional service, Small-fry offers a counter-cultural dining experience and it's seriously awesome. Loved the vibe, communal eating bench around the chef and small details of having somewhere to hang my bag.Also, If you drink black coffee, you can trust these guys, not burnt or scalding. It's the perfect way to start a cold morning in Hobart.

Great spot. Went for breakfast and was really impressed. Lovely people who have a great attention to detail in everything they do. Enjoyed excellent and wholesome porridge, a rich and unctious croque and lovely coffee. A must in Hobart

Noticed few reviews of late from Hobartians - maybe trying to protect a secret???I/we are regulars and when brekkying, it is wonderful to detect that non locals are dining here before their flight home. Lots of oohs, aaahs and wows from those on their departure day.Sit and relax.
