Contribuiți la feedbackWe visited Lebrina on a Friday night in July. We booked with the restaurant and the booking process was welcoming and efficient (thanks Mark!)I ordered the pigeon and the panfried kingfish and my husband ordered the fish croquettes and the pan fried kingfish. The food was cooked with care and skill and delicious. Lebrina have a stellar wine list but as we didn't want to order a bottle, we had a wine by the glass with each course. the wines were very good. (NB there is some aged Clonakilla Shiraz Voigner on the Lebrina list - go for it, one of Australia's best ever wines!!!)We had no room for dessert - unfortunately. The service was very polite and helpful. The restaurants is divided into rooms which gives it an intimate atmosphere.Good night out and recommended by us.
A lovely, old school dining experience in a private house with tastefully appointed dining rooms of just one, two or three tables each.
While visiting Hobart our local friends suggested this restaurant in North Hobart. A beautiful old house the 4 of us had our own small room. Just perfect. Our waiter or owner perhaps, was exceptional. Decanting our choice of red which certainly wasn't one at the high end. $85 Extremely professional. After a delicious olive tapenade as an amuse bouche and enjoying some quality bread and butter We shared the cheese soufflé which was divine. The crispy duck Amazing, the fillet superbly cooked and delicious and the line caught kingfish fabulous. We shared the vanilla pannacotta with berries and so glad we made room for it. An exceptional restaurant for a special occasion. Not cheap $370 for the 4 of us with 2 bottles of wine but memorable and worth every cent. $60 food minimum per person so go hungry to enjoy this quality establishment.
Only 10-12 tables in 4 rooms in a home, so excellent & intimate service. Great variety on menu. We had eggplant fritters and Morton Bay bugs w. Tortellini for starters, and king fish and lamb for Mains, all tasty, with crisp side vegetables. Great wine-by-glass choices. Plus Luscious dessert!
We dined at Lebrina for my birthday, visiting from Sydney. We booked it months earlier, but some of the reviews on TripAdvisor gave us a little cause for concern. We needn't have had any. As mentioned, the restaurant is in a house (well maintained/renovated), just out of central Hobart (a short taxi ride). The restaurant is private - there are multiple rooms, with tables far apart from each other in each room that you have your own space. The wine list is extensive and we appreciated the recommendations (we had a very nice Tasmanian Pinot Noir; and the waiter kindly suggested the Mona wine tour, which we subsequently did.) Preceding that, we both had a cocktail (a little pricey at $20 each, but they were well prepared.)The food was both beautifully presented. and delicious. The venison (my main) was the most tender I have ever eaten. The moreton bay bug pasta, my partner's entree ("morton bay bug tail with fresh tagliatelle"), was also delicious: one of his most favourite pastas every (and right up there with the best we have had in Italy). The only dish that wasn't superb (albeit, it wasn't bad), was my partner's duck main, which was a little dry. Previous reviewers have been disappointed with the food: we thought it was excellent. The service was excellent. The ambience was lovely (yes, a little old school (we are both in our 30s), but we still very much enjoyed it). The restaurant was expensive, but not excessively so, and we felt it to be easily justified. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would return, if we get the opportunity to visit Hobart again.
