The Sicilian Sun - Ho-Ho-Kus

We were very disappointed in this restaurant-food was outstanding, but the service was extremely slow. I would like to say that our waiter was very friendly but it appeared that there were only two in waitstaff with owners filling in. We waited and waited for someone to take our order and finally someone came over. The time in between courses was lengthy. My husband ordered mushroom appetizer that never came(it was not on the bill. It is such a shame, since the food was absolutely delicious! We realize covid has hit the industry very hard, but with so many other choices in Bergen County, this would not be our first choice.

Some good items. Some really bad. Fried mozzarella sticks were just breading. The cheese was all melted out. Non-existing. Vanilla gelato was 70% ice. They have the nerve to add almost 4% for credit card. We won’t be back.

FOOD WAS EXC ELLENT AND SERVICE ATTENTIVE. NOT A QUITE PLACE FOR DINNNER BECAUSE OF SMALL SPACE. I WILL MAKE ANOTHER VISIT.

The food is good (shrimp parm; veal saltimbocca) but questionable cleanliness: water glass had floating particles, wine glass has lipstick on rim; tabletop had crumbs. Bread came long after meal was served after 2nd request. Disappointed I’ve had better experiences here.
