HÖgers Restaurant Bar Cafe - Hirschau

I arrived at my hotel in Hirschau this evening for a business meeting tomorrow morning and was irritated to find that the hotels restaurant was closed on Monday. However I was directed to Högers by the hotelier and now, after a superb meal he is totally forgiven. On such a cold evening a warming soup beckoned and the Onion Soup was probably the best I have ever had. Next the Venison accompanied with mini dumplings and tempura battered vegetables. The batter was just so light and crisp! I hardly had room for sweet but as I gaze on the Panna Cotta I’m just about to eat I know that once more this evening I’ve made the perfect choice.

This restaurant is great. The wine, food, service and presentation are very awesome. One of my favorite places to eat and drink. And it's right up the street!

Stefan's restaurant has a fab setting right in town and across from Hirschau's Rathaus; he does an amazing Mediterranean-inspired menu... this is our home away from home in northern Bavaria!

This is a great restaurant in Bavaria. The meal began with an amuse bouche of red cabbage soup (delicious) and then an assortment of vorspeisen ranging from bacon-wrapped dates to shrimp in coconut/pineapple sauce and pepperoni. My entree was the salmon, which was prepared perfectly with an assortment of vegetables and mashed red potatoes. Overall a fantastic experience!
