Checkers - Hiram

The apple pies here are no longer the best. That was one of the main reasons I came to this location, but now I won’t be returning. A certain employee from my usual spot let me know that the Checkers on Thornton Road still offers the apple pies. It’s quite a bit farther from where I live, but if I really want them, I guess I’ll make the trip anyway!

I usually avoid giving negative reviews, but I have to share my experience. The young staff at this restaurant work quickly, but their customer service leaves much to be desired. While I was there, I overheard them laughing about customers, and it was clear they didn't care who could hear. Speed is important, but friendliness is crucial in any workplace. It's something that people should definitely keep in mind.

The order was incorrect even after it was checked twice, but the staff was very accommodating. Despite the mix-up, the food we received was still delicious—wrong but tasty. I'll give it another try.

I was seated by the window and was completely ignored by the staff for over ten minutes. Finally, I knocked on the window, and a female manager told me they were busy and that I would have to wait. It's clear that their main focus is on managing the drive-thru, which is quite unfortunate. They clearly don't value their customers and show little consideration for the service they provide. I won’t be returning to this place again, and it's evident why so many customers leave without being attended to.

The food was fresh and exceptionally delicious, especially considering it was just an hour before closing time.
