Mcdonald's - Hinton

The only excuse I can think of for their poor service is that they were short-staffed due to some employees not showing up. However, as someone who works in the food service industry, I believe there’s no justification for anyone to wait more than five minutes to place an order or get help. I ended up waiting nearly ten minutes for my chicken biscuit to be remade because it was undercooked and inedible. Not one staff member checked on me during that time, so I eventually gave up and went to the gas station next door to grab some donuts instead. My friend ordered a chicken McGriddle, and his was also undercooked and not edible. He waited 45 minutes for his order—placed on the kiosk—and all he received was an apology with no refund or compensation. What’s the point of that? It’s odd because just two days earlier, we had a seamless and pleasant experience during our visit, but today was the worst I’ve ever had at a McDonald's. They really need to do better.

The variety on the menu was impressive for such an affordable price range, with meals costing between $1 and $10. What really stood out was the outstanding service; the staff were attentive and friendly, definitely deserving a perfect 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, scoring a strong 4. Overall, this restaurant is a fantastic choice for a satisfying breakfast!

The cashier was incredibly friendly and took the time to patiently assist us with our large order. She did her best to help us order some items that were displayed on the TV screen but weren't included on the menu. I highly recommend this McDonald's for a quick and fresh hot meal.

We typically don't have high expectations for a McDonald's, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one! The food was fresh, not greasy, and quite delicious. If you're traveling through New River Gorge and looking for a quick meal, this spot is a great option! The staff was friendly and attentive, delivering excellent service. Additionally, the scenic drive along the river is lovely!
