Tosca - HINGHAM

We will have to give a one star for Tosca. After at least 10 minutes of not being acknowledged by anyone after we were seated, we left. We had a reservation and it was not overly busy at the time. A couple came in at the same time, staff immediately waited on them, poured water, delivered drinks from the bar and were engaging with their waiter. For the reputation of Tosca, we were very disappointed.

We both had the local “smashed” cucumber salad which was fabulous. Dressing was amazing. Spring Pea and Handmade Tortellini was outstanding as well as the Tuna special. Wine list very nice but small. Our server was efficient and amazing in every way. We highly recommend for a great experience.

Toscas is always requested by my visiting Ca friends. Food never disappoints and love the creative daily specials. Our waiter Tim was attentive and informative with a good sense of subtle humor! Overall ambiance contributes to a wonderful evening out!

Atmosphere was great. Warm lighting and upscale decor without any pretense. Cod was perfecty cooked. Delicious oysters (Duxbury) freshly shucked. Calamari was flavorful and lightly breaded. Dinner was a ten.

They do try to cook to order, as they are heavy on spices?? Why anyone would put fennel (Licorice) on scallops is beyond me. They serve , great, Veal Parmesan without a little pasta? Want you to order a side??
