Sweet Treats - Hinckley and Bosworth

Visited here on pancake day, the staff here have the worst customer service I’ve ever received. I walked up to counter for them to all look and me and turn away, not taking my order! I then guessed I had to use the machine they provide to order as none of them told me I had to as stated they all turned there backs on me upon walking to counter. Waited over an hour for 2 pancakes and a milkshake and when I asked when they will be ready (for the second time one of the cooks told me very rudely that they are busy, even though the restaurant was empty. I was then told after an hour that they will start to make mine soon. The food once I received it was terrible raw and tasteless. Would not recommend eating her at all.

This place wasn’t even busy when I dropped in to order a cheesecake and milkshake. Was told it would be bought out to the car which was nice of them. 20 minutes later I went in to fetch it to save them bringing it out it hadn’t even been started. Whilst I stood waiting for another good 10 minutes the lad behind the counter preparing waffles was putting half the chocolate bar topping in his mouth and the other half on top of the waffle being prepared for a customer, this is totally unacceptable no gloves, no washing of hands and in full view of me, a customer!

Food is always good from here , it is a pity they didn’t improve their delivery it is dire , 16 Jan we have ordered for tonight and yet again the delivery did not turn up , you really need to improve this , we have had this problem several times now and I’m sure we are not the only ones !! Not amused

Compared to other mainstream dessert parlours, Sweet Treats is underrated. The wait time can be a little too long for the amount of customers that are in each time, which is why I only rated 4/5 stars. It is a small place so I definitely value the quiet times where there aren't any families and children around. The desserts are always consistent and the extra touches of wafer and icing sugar make it better, with no quibbles when I want to substitute gelato on my usual waffle (other mainstream dessert places usually charge extra.. ahem).

We went at 20:00 and food didn’t come till 21:30 and by the time it came out my friends food tasted like chicken and looked out of date food was pretty rancid tbh and i missed love island, won’t be coming again x
