Contribuiți la feedbackAffordable and unique takoyaki place. fast food style but still delicious! the himeji style takoyaki did not disappoint: not too cooked, with a moist filling small piece of octopus. you brush the sauce on by yourself and after dipping it into soup, there is a different taste which creates an interesting dining experience. ika (squid) was nice too, light and crispy batter with pieces of ginger. oden was decent. there is also a variety of other food options. this place seemed to be popular among locals.
Akashiyaki (Hyogo takoyaki) spot located in the basement of Grand Festa linked to Himeji station. Co-located with Baskin Robbins and others in a mini food court. Quite different to the traditional takoyaki we think of, with the batter largely moist (almost uncooked). Effectively a fast food restaurant. Worth a try, but wouldn’t again.
These okonomiyaki are so goo and so famous. if you're in Himeiji don't forget to get there.
Apparently it's recommended to soak the takoyaki inside the soup. Very soft and definitely different from the ones in Osaka. A set of takoyaki is 480 yen.
Too much flour and the octopus is super small. That’s what you get for ¥450 (10 pieces)
