San Miguel's Mexican Cafe - Hilton Head

Food is just fine, but for a great time, with what I think are the best selection and best tasting margaritas on the island, this is where you want to be of an evening. Nothing better than watching the sunset over the marina with a fine margarita in your hand. Great evening out.

We found San Miguels while on a bike ride. We had a great reasonably priced meal. My chimichanga was huge and was garnished with some of the best guacamole I've ever had. My husband had the steak fajita and loved it. The server was attentive-refilling our waters and bringing us extra napkins without us having to ask. Can't wait to go back!

Everywhere you go in Hilton Head is sort of like being in a strip mall in a retirement community everything painted that same color. This place is no different. You can eat outside with a view of the water, which upgrades the regular Hilton Head atmosphere a bit. However, I like my latino places to have a little grit and personality. San Miguel's has neither. The food is typical tex mex, competently prepared, but with no pizzazz. And the prices, as in much of Hilton Head, are a bit high for the food received. But I would go there again.

Not worth the wait, and what a wait it was. Food tasted like Taco Bell take out. The restaurant was over-crowed and the food was cold when it finally arrives. Portions were small and menu was very limited. Please don't waste your time!!
