Okko Hilton Head - Hilton Head Island

The place was packed for Christmas. I don't think I would have reserved a table knowing there were going to be so many people. The food was ok, I don't have to return. We only had the hibachi so I'm not sure how the other food or sushi is.

Sushi was very good, but the hibachi and other main dishes were mediocre. They did not have sufficient staff so waiter never came back to our table to ask about our meal, refill water or ask if wanted a second drink. And it took a very long time to get our bill. Noise level was very high making conversation difficult. There are better places to go for Asian cuisine.

Food was excellent; nice ambiance. We’ll definitely return when staying in Hilton Head!

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for yrs. Don’t know what’s happened but it is completely different. LOUD disco type music, much smaller menu with higher prices, must be short of wait staff as we had a hard time getting his attention for a round of drinks while waiting for over minutes for our main entree. Very disappointed. Asked the waiter about the very loud music and he stated the owner wanted to impart a New York atmosphere. Well if we wanted New York Disco we would go to NY not HHI. Won’t be going back.

Fantastic hibachi chef, food and service! Would definitely recommend.
