Brick Oven Cafe - Hilton Head Island

Wow, we visited this restaurant two years ago and had a fantastic experience. However, when we returned in June 2010, it seemed like the place might be under new ownership. The food was disappointing, and the menu was quite limited. The music was too loud for a dining atmosphere; it felt more like a nightclub, and I found myself shouting to my wife across the table. There weren't many options available, and it was rather hot inside.

You can enjoy an excellent meal at a very affordable price in a wonderful atmosphere. Whether you want to wear jeans and relax at the bar with Phil, who is a very friendly bartender, or dress up for a romantic night out with your partner, this place has you covered. I really appreciate the diverse menu, which ranges from tapas and pizza to gourmet entrees. You definitely need to check it out!

When the kitchen is on point, some of the dishes here could be among the best you’ve ever tasted. The calamari was incredibly tender, surpassing any previous experiences with rubbery and chewy versions. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and appeared to be quite nutritious. The beef was packed with flavor, showcasing a remarkable difference from the average cuts you find in supermarkets. This is a lovely place to dine without breaking the bank, so be sure to check for specials.

This charming little restaurant offers some of the best food I have ever tasted. The menu is extensive and wonderfully diverse. They consistently provide fast service every time I visit.

Why bother having a brick oven if you don't know how to use it? This pizza was soft, rubbery, and lacking in flavor—it was truly disappointing. The sauce tasted like it came straight from a can, and the cheese wasn't even fully melted. I was really let down and regret not choosing a different place. I could have easily made a better pizza at home using a Boboli crust, some sauce, and real mozzarella.
