I received a promotional coupon in the mail for this specific location, 50% off any regular menu priced pizza. So I went to the app because it’s online only, started a build my own pizza order. Put it in the cart, and added the promo code before checkout. As soon as I hit apply, it brought me back to the menu to choose a pizza. So I went and placed the exact same order. Added it to my cart, but then I noticed the price was way more that time around, even though it was the exact same order. The original pizza, not on a special was $23 after customization. But after applying the promo, that exact same pizza jumped to $32.50 somehow. Now with the half off it is $16.25. This means I am being charged $9.50 more for the exact same pizza, because I used a half off coupon. The pizza should have come out to $11.50, not $16.25. They up charged the pizza with a coupon code to compensate for the 50% loss. This is absurd, I ended up ordering nothing and I don’t think I will be anytime soon again. Photo for proof.
My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza for delivery from this store. We ordered it well done for this exact reason see attached photo). It is really frustrating as a consumer to pay for a service to be done correctly and for it to be done what seems intentionally the complete opposite. Also we paid for two ranch cups and got zero.
Today, as I was in my car, getting ready to hit the main road. While stopped at a light I found myself behind a Papa John’s delivery driver in the left turn lane. Before even reaching the light, the driver approached it from 100 feet going, at least 10 miles an hour until we came to a complete stop at the red light. Clearly distracted is the driver, even so that when the light finally turns green and the driver still has his foot on the brake a few seconds I decided I lay down on the horn. The driver then continues to stay there as the light was green and peered at me through his driver side rear view mirror. Then as the light turns yellow proceeds to go through the intersection, forcing me to run a red light. Unfortunate for him he decided to do this while on the clock headed back to the Papa John’s store just a mile down the road so naturally, I followed him in and spoke with the manager who also appeared to be not too concerned with not only how her delivery driver was composing himself while out making deliveries, and returning back to the store but also citing that they use some sort of delivery app, which is the reason why the driver would be distracted while driving on the roads. While I’m telling her this the driver is present and wants to try and intimidate me at the counter by just staring at me. I give him a look right back all the way up to my exit. I wasn’t scared at all. Just wanted to see what his rationale would’ve been acting like that while a huge papa John’s pizza delivery light sat above his rusted out blue early 2000s Audi. Then to do it while on the clock. Just bizzare. Papa John’s? Is this becoming behavior of your delivery drivers and of your on site managers when approached from the public regarding poor conduct and punctuality from their associates? I would be more upset if Papa John’s was a pizza that I actually enjoyed these days. Unfortunately it isn’t. I just wanted to share this in likes some coaching efforts and new training can be implemented for Papa John’s in the delivery drivers while out driving making deliveries and the impact that they have on the general public when on the roads.
Well what can I say it’s pizza ! But thanks to the people at this location for the great customer service and having my dinner nice and hot for me. I’ll be back next week!
