Kyoto Ramen- Dale Mabry

Let me start with how welcoming the staff here is. I was taken care of immediately. Super friendly. I've had Ramen from several places. but none like here. i placed my order and before you know it my food was served. I order the ramen with the crispy chicken. The food was bursting with flavor. The chicken came on the side to preserve the crispy part. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. My son was with me and he absolutely loved it. He couldn't wait to tell his friend. When we were leaving, we were thanked for the visit. I will be returning to try other menu items.

I am a very big fan of Ramen. Especially Tonkatsu with pork broth. There was one place in Tampa that had an amazing broth and unfortunately closed. The broth to me is the most important thing with a ramen soup. The broth for the soup is rich, and delicious. One of my key factors is fat/collagen. It gives the soup a creamy, rich, slick to the tongue feel and taste. There is and has to be a large fat content to make the soup rich and delicious. This soup, when cold coagulates into a jiggle, so you know it has that rich fat collagen that makes the soup what it is supposed to be. Most places cheat the most important step of letting the bones from the pork and chicken cook for the many hours it takes to release all the good fat and goodness from the bones. This place does it nearly perfectly! Also, you must get the black garlic oil. It elevates the flavor and richness. It DOES NOT make the soup bitter which many people thing. It’s makes the soup taste AMAZING! Thank you Kyoto Ramen for taking the time to do it right! My only comment it they need to cook their noodles a little less. They are a bit soft.

We liked the atmosphere and service. Food was good! Not a best in the world, but tastes good!
