Contribuiți la feedbackWe are more than impressed with this location!! We travelled from California where greenery is almost non-existent unless you drive 86 hours north. This little jewel is tucked neatly behind the most amazing landscape Hillsboro has to offer. It feels like a private community. It's got a small gym, large standard fridge in the room, stove top, microwave and dishwasher! The breakfast was hot a different each morning and the most beautiful trails nearby were only a plus. I highly recommend the Dawson Creek park or the Cherry Ln trail!
The lobby greeted us with fresh flowers and an updated color palette of pale gold a comforting green with orange and burgundy accents. The front desk staff offered chocolate chip cookies, professionalism and friendliness. The room was cool, clean and comfortable. The bathroom exhaust system was a bit loud but we closed the door and no longer noticed it. The pet fee was reasonable $11). Breakfast was a sit down affair with eggs, sausage, fruit and other more portable items if you want to grab and go. What more could one want from a moderately priced hotel?
I was very pleased with my stay at Larkspur Landing. The rooms were extremely clean and the ambiance was comfortable. The room had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked. My family was able to buy groceries for the week, there was a nice size frig and everything we needed to cook our meals. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Last but not least the beds were sooo comfortable, i miss them already!
Staff: unfriendly as they come. We checked in at 11:00 PM. There was a line. The man in front of us was offered a water and an apology for having to wait. She asked how many keys he wanted even though he was alone. She seemed nice enough. Then we step up to the plate. I handed over my ID credit card. My CC has my maiden name so the girl wouldn 't accept it, even after I offered multiple forms of ID with my maiden name. She also denied my husband 's CC. We were told we would have to change the name on our expedia reservation to match our credit cards...she rudely pointed to a corner and told us we could go over there and call expedia. (I used to work at a hotel for many years, I 've never heard of this). She wouldn 't even waive the deposit since I was being forced to use my debit card. And btw, we weren 't offered a water or an apology for the wait even after I was smiling and told her I was 6 months pregnant and had been in the car for 9 hours and was exhausted. THEN, we were told we had to wait while they made sure our room was ready. Excuse me, 11:00 PM? It should have been 100% ready. We were tossed one key and told our room was down the hall. Rude. Amenities: coffee machines, hot water for tea, breakfast nook....all had signs blaming Covid for their lack of service. It 's been a year since Covid started. At this point, it 's just an excuse. I could have really used a cup of coffee, but nope. Nothing offered at all. Room: really weird. Had a stove and dishwasher like a little condo, but looked like something from the 70 's. Bedding felt like it was made of packing peanuts, not super comfy. No bathroom fan, yuck. Overall: whatever, it was cheap and we only needed the room for like 10 hours to sleep and go on our way, so it was fine. But I wouldn 't book here again. 0/10.
Pros: - Very friendly staff - Affordable rates - Clean room with some useful appliances - Convenient location with easy access to the freeway and the Portland area - Free breakfast in the morning Cons: - The air conditioning unit wasn't very effective; it kept turning on and off all night, and when it was off, it got quite hot. - The breakfast was mediocre. - The bed was uncomfortable. Overall, I would rate it 3 stars.
