Contribuiți la feedbackWe have eaten here several times and have always been happy eaters. This is the first time we have sat in the lounge. The food was great as always. What really stood out was Salvador the bartender. He was super fantastic. There were only a couple of seats open when we were there so he jad his hands full and never skipped a beat. But what really blew is away was hos **** Mary. It was literally the best one my wife and I have had in a long long time. We will be back and if we’re without the kid we will be visiting him again.
Elmer's food is always hot, and fresh and consistently good. The servers are always efficient, and friendly. The menu is extensive so what more can you ask for?? Elmer's is one of our favorite Breakfast stops. It helps that we live down the street from the Hillsboro Restaurant also.
Not really what it used to be. We used to go to Elmer's all the time when I was a kid and the food was always great. We moved from the area 15 years ago and I hadn't eaten there since. After recently moving back, I decided to go for nostalgia and have breakfast there. It was only a short walk from my apartment.Maybe it's the rose colored glasses of childhood obscuring my memory, but I remember it being much much better than it really was.The eggs were borderline flavorless, the sausages seemed to be from a frozen package, the coffee was basic Folgers, and the French Toast was indiscernible from regular bread. Even at that though, it was still edible and filling and the staff are all excellent and friendly. The place is very clean and comfortable (if a little bit dated). I won't condemn them for one dish failing to meet my expectations. For all I know, everything else is still delicious and I just happened to draw the short straw. Bottom Line: Average food, excellent service.
Hardy Breakfast. I 'm only going to eat once today so I wanted a hardy late breakfast Elmer 's filled the spot. The restaurant is old, the décor is old and many of the patrons were regulars and at the late breakfast time I went many of the patrons were, let 's say mature. When I first walked in there wasn 't anyone to greet me, so I waited, it must have been a fluke because from then on after the short wait I got full attention from the hostess and the friendly waitress I ordered from the menu, 'there are New Items on the cover ' said the waitress so I ordered the, I think it was called the 'Three Sausage Omelet ' with hash browns with biscuit it was just what I wanted, very good, very hardy and the next time I 'm in town I will visit Hillsboro 's Elmer 's again because everything looked good and hardy. One thing wrong; can 't be eating there too many times because for sure anyone will gain weight, but, once in awhile is OK.
I had the French toast with 2 eggs and bacon. Excellent dish! French toast was very nice with not to much powdered sugar. Bacon here is very good. Server was attentive and kept coffee filled. No surprises! Can’t be beat for breakfast anytime. They have menu to support lunch and dinner too.
