Meritage Bistro - HIGHLANDS

I started with the beef tenderloin Carpaccio as an appetizer, and it was fantastic. It was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth. It came with a small salad topped with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese, and the drizzle of balsamic vinegar added an incredible burst of flavor. My wife ordered the Fast Caesar salad, which was equally impressive. For our main courses, we both couldn’t resist the M Paella, and it was out of this world! Be sure to ask for some of their wonderful rustic bread to soak up the delicious broth that accompanies it. To cap off a delightful evening, I had the caramel apple cake with house-made Bourbon sauce, while my wife enjoyed the salted chocolate tart. This place truly exceeded our expectations. If we have the chance to return, we definitely will!

For high-quality food, an excellent selection of international wines and value ratio, we think that Meritage is the best restaurant in Highlands .. and so do many other locals. It is supervised by an experienced professional, Andrea Schmitt, who knows how to plan reservations, hire large employees and monitor the preparation and presentation of the fantastic and constantly changing menu of their talented cook. There is a small dining room with about 8 tables and a large bar area near the entrance. The decor is incomparable and elegant and the service staff is understandable, friendly and professional. Reservations highly recommended.

I dined outside surrounded by trees and nature. The service was fantastic, and the food was exquisite. This place is a must-visit! Every dish I tried was amazing!

The trout was excellent, but when I ordered an old fashion, it came out to look like a dirty orange juice. When I tried to explain to the bartender instead of being polite about it, they were quite rude and I thought I would order a simple beam and ginger. To my surprise, it was $14 a glass for the old fashions that made very wrong. In any case, other restaurants in this area would recommend. This bistro is not good for customer service.

Absolutely delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. Additionally, the food and drinks were on point—delicious and comparable to some of the best meals we've had during our travels. I would definitely return!
