Restaurant 1915 and Blue Roof Tapas Bar - Bear Mountain

This was the second time I came for high tea. Our waitress was very sweet but we waited for almost an hour for our scones and sandwiches. They had a great selection of tea. However, it was really chilly in there, even colder than it was outside that day. Overall, it was a good experience.

Went with my husband for Sunday brunch today and while it was decent, for the price it wasn’t a great value. The service was a tad slow, but nothing too bad. The food and beverages were very good but I wouldn’t say great; not exactly fine dining but very decent, tasty, good and filling, and there were a lot of choices. The ambience was quite nice and very rustic, like you would expect of a lodge in the wilderness. The views of outside the restaurant were stunning as the fall foliage was in full swing, possibly not “peak” but fairly close. This is a truly lovely place for nature lovers. We walked (hiked) all around the lake afterwards to work off all we ate and with all that walking I believe we can safely eat our next few meals with impunity! I do like this place and would come again. I am curious as to the accommodations for overnight stays here.

We love this restaurant. Regretfully, something was askew tonight. After waiting 30 minutes for water, an hour for bread, and an hour and half for still no meal, we paid for our glass of wine apiece, the bread, by putting $30 cash on the table and left. We tried to tell the team, but there was no team to tell. This was our second time here, and our first experience was nothing like this. We will try again, but with a watchful eye on the staffing level, and our watch. Their food is delicious, and the restaurant is beautiful it just wasn’t meant to be for tonight.

Our waitress was fantastic. Unfortunately, almost everything we had was mediocre. The flatbread and poached shrimp were mediocre. The cowboy steak and pork chop were decent but the creamed spinach was the worst I’ve ever had in my life. The chocolate cake was also mediocre

Perfect location for special occasion brunch with family. Somewhat pricy especially with alcoholic drinks and gratuity included despite buffet.
