The Storehouse - Highland

The bacon rolls and coffee were good, but the ordering service was chaotic. My wife waited for 15 minutes to place our order, receive it, and wait for the coffees. The staff could improve efficiency by using tablets for ordering and delivering food, which would lead to quicker turnover and increased profit. I decided against a second coffee because I didn't want to wait any longer.

We waited in line for over 20 minutes at this restaurant. In the meantime, I grabbed three soft drinks from the open fridge and ordered a wood-fired pizza and flatbread. We paid the bill before the food arrived, only to discover that we had been charged for two beers we didn't have. My wife went to rectify the mistake, only to be told that we owed money for a £7 soft drink that contained spring water, tonic, and various fruit flavors. They told us it was fine and to just wait for our food. There were no prices displayed on the drinks, and my wife was embarrassed by the situation. When the food finally arrived, the pizza was cold and had very few toppings. We sent it back, and when it returned five minutes later, I still found it unsatisfactory as the dough was undercooked. At this point, with incorrect charges and subpar food, we decided to just leave. We won't be coming back to this restaurant. It felt more like a food production line than a dining experience.

The breakfast was disappointing. The eggs were overcooked and the extra toast that was ordered never arrived. I have been to this restaurant a few times, but this was the worst experience by far.

We came as a large group of 12, without a booking, the Storehouse team looked after us wonderfully and the food was excellent. The location and the views are another bonus!

I ordered the gluten free poke bowel with deep fried prawns… oh my goodness it was totally delightful … the gf batter was amazing … i was down at rick steins 2 weeks ago and had fish and chips and not to demine him in any way but it was on par… the service was quick and efficient … well done everyone … 5* would highly recommend …
