The Garrison Bistro - Highland

Came here for a romantic meal,never been before, but read alot of reviews and wow it certainly did live upto standards. Food was famominal and the staff were so polite and friendly too, although very busy, we were never left unattended and made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended. Thank you.

The Garrison Bistro is located in the Garrison Hotel in Fort Williams. I had a Very Good dinner there that I quite enjoyed with a very tasty Shepherds Pie along with a Gin Tonic (or two). However, and quite unfortunately, the bar was completely out of all local ales and beers! How could that be? Breakfast, served in the restaurant, was only so-so. The service was slow and the selection was fair but rather limited.

My husband and I enjoyed an excellent dinner after a long drive from Skye. My husband had a local beer and I had a glass of wine. The meals were homemade and quite delicious. We had the beef pot pie and homemade leek soup. For dessert we had cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding.

Visited today for lunch. The board outside said Bistro open. Looking forward to a nice lunch only to be told the Bistro shut at 1pm. Really poor when you can 't order lunch after 1pm. When I said it was very poor to one of the assistants she told me it is too expensive to staff the kitchen when it 's not busy. She also said we were the third group today saying it was difficult to buy a late lunch . Management need to look at this and make sure your board is removed from outside when in effect you are closed. Very disappointing.

Lovely decor in the bistro and not too noisy even when quite full. Food choice was good and quality was excellent.
