The Clachan - Highland

We decided to visit Dornie based on the recommendation of this pub, and we were not disappointed. The pub is lovely, and Joe, Steven, and the service staff provide fantastic service. The food from the kitchen is highly recommended as it is amazing. Everything we tried was exceptional, especially the venison sausages dish. We hope the staff continues to deliver such great experiences, as it was a pleasure to meet them and spend time during our holiday. And we can't forget to mention the scallops with Stornoway black pudding - they were a dream. Thank you all so much.

I recently had a wonderful meal at The Clachan to celebrate my partner's birthday. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, making us feel very comfortable. The food was exceptional, some of the best I have had in a long time. I particularly enjoyed the duck breast with tarragon and port sauce, it was so delicious that I almost wanted to ask if I could take a container of it home with me. I would love to return next time I am in the area.

Outstanding food and outstanding service! From the outside this looks just like any small Scottish country pub. I side is nice, but nothing exceptional. What is exceptional is the food! We went back 3 times in 7 days and it's definitely the best food option within 50 miles! Each time the food was there within 20 minutes of the order and each night the placewas full! The team are all super friendly and efficient! Definitely worth a visit!

I would have rated it 5 stars if it weren't for the policy of only accepting walk-ins. This restaurant does not take reservations. The food was excellent, though a bit expensive, but definitely worth it for the quality. However, the wait time was very long! I would suggest arriving well in advance to secure a table for dinner.
