Jaki - Highland

Regardless of previous reviews, this is our local, so we use it. Jaki and staff are always friendly and accommodating, the Fish and Chips are amazing. Always cooked perfectly, always hot, crispy batter and lovely chips! If you phone your order in, it’s ready to pick up when you arrive. Can’t fault this place and we are English!

First time here in a few years and sad to see it’s decline. The batter is oddly bland which I’ve never experienced before from a chippy. Mushy fish is also a concern and from my experience in the food industry, usually indicative of something more sinister. Hotter oil will also give you a much more satisfying and crunchy chip than the ones that we tasted. Staff were nice though despite what I’d heard to the contrary. Young female very polite. This use to be a great wee chippy and hopefully it’ll have its day again once the owners have addressed its issues.

On the 8th juli, at the beginning of our vacation, we visited her business in fortrose, waitsnake was out of the door, but her employees were concerned with the customers friendly and quiet, and behind the theke a hive of activity, all know their job and get accommodating quickly and efficiently. fantastic food that was still hot at the arrival in our holiday home, about 10 minutes from fortrose. juli we went to channonry point and were welcomed again by friendly staff in their ice-car. Ask where we came and we were enjoying our holiday as well as great service and tasty ice cream. excellent service around the clock, but we were totally blown away by the friendliness of one of their suppliers in the evening of the 13th juli (about 11:00 a.m.) when my man and I were back in the way

With distance the best fish and chips! I almost couldn't eat the Jumbo share, because he was so huge!

My other half took up a fish sauce last week, best fish I had in a long time, not a teigbatter like me back from other chippies definately
