Castle Stuart Golf - Highland

This is now call the Cabot Highland. We were in the area and trying to find some food to have for dinner without having to head back into Inverness or having dinner at a Hotel. This popped up and was about ready to close when we arrived at 5:45. We walked in and asked if they could accommodate us. Everyone was very pleasant and assured us they could. We had the best meal of our trip. Not only was the dinner lovely and serve good but the view phenomenal. I had fried haddock with sweet potato fries and peas. Plenty of food and truly wonderful. My husband had a bowl of chili with beer. Nothing fancy just really good food, great service at a reasonable price. We would return.

This restaurant is so good that we booked our golf group of 20 there for both lunch one day and dinner another. Fantastic staff. Nice menu. Excellently prepared foods. And killer views out their dining room windows. You don't have to be a golfer to go there.

We had two rounds there this week and the course was in great condition, the greens were a good pace that suited our skills levels. This is a very enjoyable course, there is trouble around but you have to be way off to find it. The shot to the green is very tricky as the entry area is very tricky. There are all sorts of humps and hollows to negotiate once you are onto the green. We had some sandwiches and coffees before we left for home and the were very very good. The all round experience was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Sensational views across the Moray Firth and some great golf holes. Fairways ere generous and only really bad shots are punished. The tees are designed for all levels of golfer and everyone in our group (wide variety of h/caps) really enjoyed themselves.

Being a club that’s only a decade or so old, this is still a nice test of links golf. You have your sun, your rain, and of course the wind. The clubhouse is a newer style of lighthouse chic. The pro shop is fairly well stocked and displayed nicely. The. Addies were very knowledgeable. The course has nice true greens, the tee boxes actually don’t break your tees. The fairways were a little skimpy in spots, a result of a lack of rain the prior year. Give it a try.
