The service was friendly, and the staff were excellent. The beer selection was nice and well-maintained. Overall, the experience was fantastic with a perfect score of 5 for the rooms, service, and location. A highlight of this hotel is the great value it offers.

I had a nostalgic visit since I worked here 40 years ago. The bar hasn't changed much, and I enjoyed a quick drink. The bartender was very helpful. However, I was disappointed to find that they don't serve food. It was quite cold inside, so I couldn't take off my coat. Also, there were too many "don't do this, don't do that" signs for my taste.

The customer service was absolutely dreadful. It's unbelievable that they would blame the customer for their own staffing issues. Rooms: 1, Service: 1, Location: 4.

Breakfast offers a good selection, but the limited hours of the dining room are frustrating, as many guests try to eat at the same time. It might be worth considering opening the dining room half an hour earlier to accommodate families with young children who need to eat early. The bar prices are typical for a venue of this nature, meaning you can expect to pay a bit more than at your local establishment. One area that could use significant improvement is the in-house DJ: he lacks mixing skills, loops songs without engaging with guests, and doesn't take song requests. As for the rooms, they are clean and tidy, with lovely interior design. However, the windows need maintenance to ensure they open properly, as nights can get quite warm. A notable downside is the absence of tea and coffee-making facilities in the room—something even basic hotels provide. While you can order drinks to your room at an additional cost, given the price of the accommodation, such amenities should be complimentary. The room was simple, but it was clean and perfect for a night's rest. Linda and her team made us feel like we were part of the local community! The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but Linda kindly offered us a discount, which was a wonderful gesture. The pub was lively, filled with well-behaved young people enjoying themselves, but by midnight, it was quiet. We are looking forward to returning for the famous beer festival later this year.
