Broadway Diner - Hicksville

Strange sitting in a new renovated country music... cold... empty... food was ok.. I guess I'm getting old, but it's just not the same...

Pre Pandemic, was our favorite memory. They rebuilt and added a bar. 1. The menu is particularly shrunk for lunch and dinner. Gone is the massive menu so typical for Greek diners. My reuben, who used to be a big open plate, is now a sandwich. My wife's chief salad was also much smaller. Plus no longer contains hard boiled eggs or crochets, and they were made of olives. 2. The Dessert case that used to have large pastries is gone. They only have 2 soups and no soup of the day. 3. Looks like they're still a great place for breakfast. But lunch and dinner seems like burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. 4. Our waitress was not all that looked attentive as if they were understated. She never once asked us if we wanted to refill our water glasses and forget to order me the soup. Not sure whether the decline is only for this diner or for Diners in general. Another big one in our city closed a few weeks ago.

The service and food is not the same as before renovations. The server had to ask for so many missing articles about our meal. All servers simply hang at the bar and do not pay attention to customer needs. Should they? ve skipped the renovations (cus it looked amazingly before) and they should? ve focused only more on customer service and food quality. So disappointed.

We had a nice Sunday breakfast here. Good mood, friendly staff, lots of parking. Blueberry lemon pancakes were amazing. Will be back when I'm in the area.

The place is nice and clean staff is nice not too chatty I would like to say maybe because it wasn't that busy they were understaffed... however the food was okay but it wasn't that hot it was just warm , the pancakes weren't that great ! it was crunchy it was like it was on a hot plate just sitting! yucky maybe they can look getting these things corrected because there was a couple that came after us that were going to leave because they were waiting too long(yikes)
