The Fishy Fish - Hibberdene

Hibberdene shopping centre/mall hosts this unpretentious fish 'n chips outlet. Not fancy, but it doesn 't try to be. One long counter behind which a server takes your order, writes a ticket in a private code and phrases it to the cashier.No one sits down here, it 's almost exclusively take-away fried seafood. And it is very popular with the locals, always a good indicator of consistent standards.It doesn 't vie for Michelin stars, you could easily miss is where it is tucked away at the end of a boring building, but make the effort for tasty hake, prawns, calamari etc for a picnic, padkos or a meal at home. A fresh salad is also available. Take the Hibberdene turn-off near Port Shepstone and dive into the simple and the delicious!
