Contribuiți la feedbackThis bistro was absolutely great choice for us. Everything what we ordered was delicious. Burgers were extremely tasty, not dry at all. Prices are completely okay. The service was great, waiter was very kind. We would definitely go back to this bistro.
Update November 2022; Disappointed. We had starter soups and burger&duck main dishes. All salty, very salty and overcooked with plenty of oil the Hungarian street/pub food way of preparing food. Nowhere near as delicious as in 2021. I guess the chefs were differeft this time. During our this year visit to Heviz we will not eat here again. We'll give it a chance again in 2023 and let you know what happens. 2021: 5 stars Divine food and cocktails. We ate twice here, had burger, lamb and duck. All were worth the price. Great atmosphere, good service.
Having delicious vegetarian meal in hungarian kitchen that doesn't contain cheese is such a wonderful surprise. I loved everything! The service was very polite too!
Well, the food was pretty good. We Had: Spicy chicken drum stick Delicious. Skinned chicken breast in butter Tender and moist, not too buttery. Lentil balls with wild garlic /spring ebly salad Different Delicious. Why the two stars? We went on Monday May 15. It was after a rainy weekend. A lot of places were closed, even though google had them as open. We wasted a bit of time during the weekend arriving at closed places. We called Brix Bistro to confirm they were open. The rude woman didn't understand why we would be calling just to confirm they were open and made us feel like we were doing something wrong. So we drive over, arrive 15 minutes after the phone call. When we arrive, we are told they kitchen closes at 9pm (It's now 845pm), though the restaurant closes at 10pm. Then we are told half the menu is not available. Ok? It sure would have been nice to be told this by the pleasant woman on the phone. Our waiter didn't want to be there. It's interesting how very rarely now some waiters in certain restaurants will treat Hungarians, especially women. My wife is Hungarian and was speaking to him in Hungarian. When I arrived with the rest of our party, and we were speaking English, his attitude changed. Still not friendly or hospitable, but I think he understood he couldn't get away with being a jerk around two men. If we had not been with two hungry children, we would have definitely left. I went to pay the bill at the bar, and asked if the tip was included. He said service is included, but the tip needs to be left in cash on the table. Oh my. It was a great story to share after we left. The service reminded of the service one would receive in Hungary in the early 2000's. Times have changed, but this gentlemen is unaware. Yes, the food is good. The service and atmosphere to me is just as important as the food, and that is why I will not going back. And if service is important to you, I would suggest finding another place to spend your money.
We were very disappointed. We came for a drink. The first one was ok, then 20 minutes nobody noticed us so we went away. We were probably not interesting customers for them.
