Contribuiți la feedbackLa Llorona is an unforgettable and unexpected surprise! Conscious with attention to presentation, originality, taste and vibration. The experience is comparable to ..think..Like Water for Chocolate !!! Gracias por tan increible comida, servicio y sabor!!!!!
This friendly neighborhood restaurant offers delicious meticulously prepared dishes you will never find in the typical “gringo” Mexican restaurant. You’ll need to take taxi if you’re walking but it’s easy to reach by car from the Mariposa Border Crossing. Currently my favorite cantina in Nogales.
The Border Community Alliance runs tours that get people from the US side to explore Nogales and the surrounding area beyond the tourist plaza at the entry point. We took their Gastronomic Tour and had a great introduction to Sonoran food. The main meal was served at La Llorona in the eat street area of Nogales. La Llorona is The Weeping Woman of Mexican folklore, a tale used to scare children from wandering out at night, but there was no weeping among our group. We had a delightful multi course meal prepared by Chef Fernando Luevanos. The food was interesting, well prepared and delicious! We look forward to returning and bringing friends. For folks from the north who have some trepidation about going beyond the border zone, it is easy to grab a legitimate taxi and travel directly to this fine restaurant in Colonia Granja.
This place is the BOMB if your into Mexican food but are adventures. They mix Mexican traditional dishes but give them a modern cuisine twist and the results are amaizing, this guys know what they are doing, they are not randomly experimenting. Food is GREAT. Its a little place but the food is magnificent
