Three generations visited this restaurant for afternoon tea and had a great experience. The theme of the menu was consistent and everything was excellent.
The cakes were incredible really tasty and we loved them so much we took some home. My husband enjoyed sandwiches which was made fresh and you could tell he said he would definitely have the same next time
We spent over £70 for afternoon tea for 2 adults and 1 child. We were not offered a child's version, even though it is something they offer for less than half the cost and much more child-friendly. The tea was very light in color, like dishwater, and when we mentioned this to the staff, they said it was because it was made with tea leaves and needed time to brew - but it still didn't improve. I was also charged for a coffee, even though it was listed as an option on the menu. The food was below average and nothing special, especially considering the price. We were all disappointed with our visit, as it was a special occasion with a friend. We tried to contact the restaurant directly to share our experience but received no response, hence this negative review. Save your money!
This lady and her beautiful grandchild enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea at a cafe in Herne Bay with a Wonderland theme. The quality of sandwiches was excellent, the scones were still warm, and there were plenty of delicious tiny cakes to indulge in, all in keeping with the Lewis Carroll stories. The tea set was Alice-themed, complete with a tiny 'drink me' bottle of potion. Although we didn't shrink, we left feeling very full. The staff freely offered boxes to take away any leftovers, and we ended up purchasing more to take home for the rest of the family. We will definitely be returning in the future.
