Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant on Wednesday around 1 PM for lunch with a few colleagues. It's conveniently located near my workplace, and it wasn't too crowded—just a couple of other diners. We decided to try the spicy lobster roll and the Rainbow roll, both of which were quite tasty. A few of us opted for the bento box from their lunch special menu; I chose mine with pad thai. The bento boxes are a great value, offering four different types with various options. They also have a selection of other items on their lunch special menu at reasonable prices. Overall, it's a nice spot for lunch, and since it's so close to my office, I’ll likely return for another meal.
The riesling (I regret I didn’t take note of the brand) started off crisp and refreshing but unfortunately had a disappointing finish that fell flat. Since I was already quite full from some Starbucks lattes, I decided to skip the Thai iced tea this time. For dessert, I went with a green tea mochi ice cream. The dessert itself was delightful, but it seemed that the brand of mochi they used flavored it with something other than traditional matcha; it tasted more like jasmine green tea to me. The restaurant's interior was just okay—clean but a bit uninspiring. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bathroom cleaner than I had expected. Overall, it was not a bad experience.
Good, casual atmosphere. Prik king beef and Panang chicken were very good. Both had great flavors. I'd definitely come back.
There was one aspect that disappointed me, though. I had requested my Kee Mao Gai to be made Thai spicy, but it came out rather bland. Nonetheless, the food overall was delicious. When our charming and lovely server, Pauline, checked in on us, I gave her my honest feedback. I told her that while the food was very good, I was disappointed that it lacked heat. She assured me that if I gave them another chance and returned, she would make sure it was spicy. We ended up chatting a bit about how I, as an American, developed a taste for spicy food. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return!
This review is solely about the sushi I tried the restaurant for the first time tonight, and ordered the spicy tuna roll and soft shell crab roll. I was very disappointed with the quality, and stopped eating the rolls midway. The flavor and smell of the food was fishy , which is a bad sign as any sushi aficionado can attest. I will not order sushi from them again, based on the poor quality. This is very disappointing, as I am a big supporter of local Herndon businesses and try to always give them a chance. Perhaps I will try the Thai menu items in the future, as the Yelp reviews seem positive.
