We drove around a residential neighborhood and called when we confirmed that the restaurant was in a different town. The other star was because they served chicken to a vegetarian. We were careful but our waiter told us that the dishes looked the same.
Surprised. Went here on Friday night and it was jamming with families. Delicious food and a slightly different take on the recipes with the Southern Indian spices. All food was good quality and large portions. Service was prompt and courteous. We will definitely come back.
Eating is a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the indecent waiting staff in dharani has distracted from eating. this could be an excellent, value-based device. the terrible service has however greatly distracted from our experience: 1. there was no tempo to server our order. the appetizer was still enjoyed (dosa), when all our escapes were brought to the table. we were expected to lift a large plate space for our main courses that were brought out too early. 2. halfway through the meal we finally managed to tie someone down to inquire the status of our cocktails. we were told that they were not able to fulfill their signature cocktail and option 2 and order was also not available. 3. Before we order a court for my mother-in-law, we confirmed with the waiting staff that the article is not sharp. for them (and our) disappointment it was in fact quite sharp. there can be some promise in the food itself, but there are many nearby options that deserve our visit before we give dharani as the second chance. Finally, a restaurant is operated with a service business. I can't say that dharani takes the service seriously at all.
Beautiful place and great service. There was a lot of food unavailable on the menu. What we did order was great.
Dharani gave us the most beautiful Valentine's Day dinner we could imagine. The restaurant was decorated in a festive and tasteful manner with pastel-coloured balloons, rose petals on the tables and napkins, which are arranged on the tables such as elongated roses. It was a very elegant scene! They made the meal even more romantic by offering a complementary glass of wine for each guest and presenting each lady with an elongated red rose at the end of the meal. Valentine's decorations aside, the dining room is a very elegant ambience on its own: marble top table, plush upholstered chairs, crystal chandelier. Service is very friendly and attentive. Dharanis menu is very extensive, with a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers and entrees. The cocktail menu is far better than most other restaurants, every ethnic and they have a wide range of liqueurs. The food was deliciously seasoned, although the level of spiciness in Dharani tends to be hotter than I grew in other Indian restaurants. The chili distributor was very sharp, even at a “mild” level of spicing. Gobi Kothimera Appetizer (Cauliflower in a dry Cilantro Dressing) was from this world. We all enjoyed our entrees and the Onion Kulcha bread. We were only through Herndon for the weekend, but I would like to return with every future visit to this beautiful restaurant! Thanks for an unforgettable evening!
