Despite this, we enjoyed a great time, with a warm welcome and delicious breakfast. Wishing Gerry and Roger good luck in their future endeavors.
We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from the guest book at the cottage we were staying in. We made a reservation in advance as suggested. It was an excellent meal and the farmer and his wife were very friendly and really enhanced the evening. Pauline cooks the food and my husband said it was the best steak he had tasted in years. We couldn't find any faults and left with smiles on our faces. If you have the opportunity, definitely give it a try.
After making a reservation in advance, we had a lovely stroll to White Haywood Restaurant. They had a wonderful selection of homemade dishes, with many featuring their own or locally sourced meat. We had a delicious three-course meal, especially enjoying the beef pie. They also welcomed dogs, which was a plus for us and our Labrador. Thank you to Pauline for making us feel so welcome.
We walked through the fields of sheep to the converted barn restaurant insure about what to expect. We found a quirky, welcoming and comfortable restaurant with great service and a loverly atmosphere. The food was suberb, a small range of traditional meat, fish and vegetation dishes reasonably priced and delicious. I'd highly recommended it.
Booked a table for 6 for last Friday evening, really fantastic place to eat. Quality food, very well cooked, welcoming hosts, reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
