My favourite cafe in Bromyard as its modern and has a lovely atmosphere. It doesn't feel dated like the others in Bromyard. Their food is really nice with good quality ingredients. They sometimes have evening opening nights with live music or a quiz. It's a shame that they aren't open more often in the evening as they have a good selection of drinks.
The full English was huge and beautifully cooked. My wife had the meat and cheese plater again enormous helping, enough for two people. If I lived nearby I'd be in there every day. Special shout out to Jane and Chloe for the warmth of their welcome and excellent service.
We stumbled across this little cafe some time ago. Well to be honest I found it as a perfect spot for coffee and cake. However looking at the menu we were drawn by the Oaklands breakfast with poached eggs. If you are a poached egg fan you will have experienced poor over cooked poached eggs. Well not here perfectly poached eggs well cooked bacon and I won’t say any more as it is worth a visit. Word of warning it can get busy so you may have to wait or choose your timing.
Stopped in on my way back from Wales, Bromyard is a quaint town with a unique curved high street. The cafe is about halfway along. Lots of space inside, and very welcoming staff. I ordered an egg mayo sandwich and a cup of tea, and impulse bought a slice of lemon sponge cake as it looked so appetising. The sandwich was filled to bursting, the bread was fresh, as was the accompanying garnish. The cake was really light and delicious. If you're in Bromyard and fancy a tasty treat, then head to Oaklands.
