Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a couples’ dinner of steak. The fresh bread was warm And delicious served with butter, sun dried tomatoes and pistachios cream cheese. My companion had the breaded steak with prosciutto and cheese. Tender and tasty. I had the ribeye cooked perfectly-tender and juicy. Highly recommend.
I tasted here the best Ternera en 2009 cooked by a guy named Ovidio Araya. I can remember still how it tasted. I visited the place for some flamed scallops with cheese and they were delicious.
We had dinner and both had local dishes, Shrimp stuffed Chicken and the Shrimp Causa. Prices are reasonable, service is excellent and the food is super fresh. Local dishes are magnificent, and the 'wine cellar ' like setting is just perfect. A good wine list, but wine is expensive. All wine is imported and that just costs a lot, so $35 bottle of wine (some low end Spanish white) is closer to $70. It is what it is; just know about it in advance.
This is our 2nd meal at Isabela, 2 years after the first. Just as good as the first time. It's Peruvian cuisine. I'd recommend the Shrimp Causa and the Tuna Tiradito, but all other dishes were also very good. In the courtyard of the Marriott Hotel, lovely ambience. Our server was Henry and he was very good. He had recommendations and was very welcoming. This is just a great restaurant.
6 of us went for a business dinner last night as we are staying in the hotel. The Pro's: ceviche appetizers were great, scallops in the shell topped with parmesan very good, service was friendly and helpful. Chef came out and thanked us for dining there. Beautiful wood inside the restaurant. The Con's: one if the steaks were cold, had to send back to reheat. Sugar cane shrimp was cold. Lettuce in salad was very wilted. Overall it was ok, not great but not bad.
