Contribuiți la feedbackThis place is run by a New York chef, so I expected the ambiance to be less important; however, the condition of the restaurant was disappointing. There’s a big difference between shabby and dirty, and this was on the dirty side. Still, we were hopeful. Our waitress talked up the chef and mentioned that we probably wouldn't finish our meals, which made us even more excited. We ordered a range of appetizers and full dinners. The calamari and wagyu beef appetizers were excellent. However, the salad arrived in warped, old wooden bowls, with the dressing served in a plastic cup—not what one would expect from an upscale establishment. When the main courses arrived, my husband’s wagyu beef was very good, and my son-in-law enjoyed his Italian dish. I ordered the spiny lobster dinner, and the loaded baked potato was fantastic. Unfortunately, the lobster was dry, overcooked, and had a strange slimy texture on the outside. To make up for it, my daughter ordered two lobster tails to go, but when we checked, they were missing from the bag. My son-in-law had to go back to retrieve them, only to find that they hadn’t been cooked. In summary, while some of the food was outstanding, it wasn’t enough to make me want to return.
The food is excellent, but it's quite expensive. It takes a long time to receive your order, but it's definitely worth the wait once it arrives.
This is hands down the best prime rib I have ever tasted! I had it blackened and cooked to medium rare, and it was simply delicious! The prices are very reasonable too! This has become our new favorite restaurant! The staff is fantastic!
A reservation is required, because they have very limited seating. So I made a reservation for 5. I received a call saying that they did not have an opening at 5, but could fit me in at 530. No big deal....except when I got there they were basically empty. So why couldn't I come at 5?The prices are that of fine dining in a big city. The food is anything but.The fundito was ok, but a bit bland. It needed salt. And they only provided 4 slices of bread for a table of 4. Not enough. My Crabmeat and Spinach stuffed Salmon was overcooked, and was clearly stuffed with Broccoli Raab not spinach. My son's Linguine with Shrimp and Scallops came out with no scallops...they did bring a bowl of scallops out when we pointed it out...but even my 12 year old son knew they were over cooked...Good customer service would have at least offered to discount something, given the mistakes made. Now I am absolutely not saying it had to happen...but it would have been nice..For almost $170 I expected much better. We were there for my daughter's birthday, at her request, but I do not forsee ever returning...
The service was really good. Very attentive servers. The food was average. The salmon was a little overcooked (pictured) and was supposed to come with a cream sauce and spinach, instead it came with broccoli rabe and some sort of spaghetti in vodka sauce. The shrimp and scallop linguine came without scallops. Once we brought that to the attention of the server, they brought out a bowl of scallops that were overcooked. The shrimp in the dish was also overcooked. The fundido was good, if not a little bland, but only came with 6 small slices of bread, some of which were untoasted, some that were over toasted, and 1 that was perfect. The fundido (which is advertised as having italian sausage in it) had exactly 3 pieces of sausage, roughly the size of a penny in the entire dish. The lasagne was very good, with lots of creamy ricotta. The tiramisu for dessert was good. LOTS of coffee soaking into those Lady fingers, which is my favorite part.
