California Pizza Kitchen At Short Pump

I came to visit this situation in Shortpump. This place had a Happy Birthday Special. We ordered 2 pizzas and a special drink that was super delicious. Conveniently located within short pump mall and tons parking. Every time my family visits this place, we eat here. We ordered pizza and steak?.

Went for dinner on a Saturday.. it was moderately crowded.. food was good but the service was disappointing.. we saw complimentary bread in other tables but our server never got it for us or asked if we want one.. we asked for an extra plate to share the pizza but she totally ignored it.. we sat in 2 person tables and they just kept entree plates on the table without taking out the appetizer plates even though the table is small.. fortunately we ordered just one appetizer so we could move our plates around to eat entrees .. Overall service was not up to the mark.. Food was excellent.. no complaints..

It?s just 4 minutes passed 4 in the afternoon, and they were out of bread already. Adam apologized as he takes our order. The place was not busy. We got our food in no time. Three pizzas. The best was the Thai chicken on cauliflower crust, our new favorite. Second best was the California club which was our usual best and favorite, but this time it wasn?t. It wasn?t carefully made. Cuts were very uneven. Some slices didn?t even show. We had to cut them. Veggies were all over instead of a slice of tomato and avocado per slice of pizza. Greens were not spread evenly close to the edge but just mostly in the center. It still tasted good, but we just had to fix it to look like how it should. The chipotle pizza was just okay, but my kids like it. Overall experience, it?s just okay. Maybe, it?s just a lazy Sunday for the crew, and it?s almost closing time. My tip went down to 15% instead of my usual 20% though.

CPK is one of my favorite chain restaurants. In my experience the food quality has been consistently high. Their rewards program is a wonderful perk for regular customers. I enjoy eating here and really like their thin crust pizzas. Great flavor!

CPK is a classic, and we?re lucky to have it out here in VA! My go to since I was a kid is their Thai Chicken Pizza. It is sweet and savory, with the peanuts giving a beautiful complexity to the flavor, and the bean sprouts giving it a nice refreshing crunch. I also got their Strawberry Mango Cooler, which I recommend as well it was tangy, bubbly, and refreshing. You can get their pizza to share with 2, or you can eat it all yourself if you?re hungry. They also have really good bread if you are staying at the restaurant to dine in. I got take out but either way it is made fresh. *chef?s kiss
