I recently dined at this restaurant with my friends, and we had a fantastic experience thanks to our server, Mary-Beth. She truly made our visit memorable with her kindness and attentiveness; my glass was never close to being empty! On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious!
Since it was a hot Saturday, we kicked things off with icy cold Michelob Ultra, which was light and refreshing—just what you need on a summer day. They also offer a nice selection of cocktails. Now, onto the food. The fresh-baked bread with honey cinnamon butter was absolutely addictive! Honestly, it was some of the best bread I’ve ever had before a meal, and the best part? It’s free! For our main course, we ordered the Sirloin with Ribs from the Texas Size Combos. We asked for the sirloin to be cooked medium rare, but it came out closer to medium. Regardless, it had a fantastic char, was well-seasoned, juicy, and tender. The ribs were fantastic too—perfectly cooked, they fell right off the bone and were wonderfully sweet and tender, with BBQ sauce that added loads of flavor. We actually preferred the ribs over the sirloin. We also tried the Sweet Potato with Marshmallow and Caramel as one of our side dishes. While it was quite sweet, we both enjoyed it. The sweet potatoes were mashed, and the melted marshmallows blended in perfectly, creating a wonderfully smooth texture. Overall, this is a great spot for drinks and enjoying Texas-style BBQ and steak, along with some amazing bread.
I want to start by saying that Texas Roadhouse is my favorite restaurant. We recently visited their new location, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. Our waiter was fantastic, but it wasn't his fault that it took almost 30 minutes for me to receive a drink from the bar. The manager came by our table, and I mentioned that I was still waiting for my drink. Additionally, some of the steaks were overcooked. Fortunately, the manager addressed this when we received the bill. I understand this is a new location, and I'm hopeful they will improve because, as I mentioned, I truly love Texas Roadhouse.
I've been on a personal journey to taste BBQ ribs from various restaurants, and I’m giving this one a strong 4.75 on my rating scale. My last stop was my fifth attempt, while the two previous places I tried only earned a score of 2. The sweet potato I had was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. The sampler platter was great, featuring rattlesnake bites (spicy cheese balls), crispy potato skins, and chicken bites that had a real kick. It was fantastic! My wife ordered the Portobello mushrooms and chicken, which she found absolutely delicious. Our server, Logan, was outstanding and very attentive. Just a heads up, starting November 16th, this restaurant will be relocating to a new spot off Indian Lake, but the exact date is still to be announced.
