The Lake House - Hemphill

We went this evening with friends, they seemed to enjoy their food but I had crawfish etouffe that was not good. Way too much salt and not even warm. The best part was the rice. Also the margarita machine was not working and in its place the **** Mary had too much celery salt making it undrinkable so it got sent back. I don't plan to go back anytime soon.

I have yet to eat at the restaurant itself. But I did try their food truck at Ford Park in Beaumont. Definitely some of the best etouffee I have ever eaten. And the gumbo was dark with a nice roux flavoring that I prefer. I also had the crab cake sliders and wondered where have these been all my life? We sure do not have that quality down here anywhere in Beaumont. I cannot wait to go to Hemphill to eat at their restaurant. It gives me another reason to go to Hemphill.

This restaurant is phenomenal. This is the second day and it was as good as the 1st. Beautiful restaurant and awesome customer service. Mr. Steve the owner is freaking awesome. Keep up the great work!!! I'm a chef and very picky so believe me when I say, EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!!!!

We have visited The Lake House multiple times and never been disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is friendly. The homemade bread and butter are exceptional. We will definitely be returning.

I wish I had taken a picture of the food! My family will definitely be back, already planning my birthday dinner here! It's just a short drive from Louisiana, over the Pendleton, for some top-quality, mouth-watering dishes! My husband and I shared the steak, which was cooked perfectly. The margarita was also delicious. This is a fantastic spot to visit when you're staying on Toledo Bend. I rate it a perfect 10/10.
