Bones - Helsinki

Wined and dined with four friends here. I had the seafood platter for a starter with an IPA. Barbacoa for the main dish veal cheek straight translation from the Finnish menu, but doesn 't sound appropriate for English) with some red wine. Finally liquid dessert from the bar. I really enjoyed the meal. We all initially ordered the ribs that came highly recommended, but later our server informed us they were sold out. So I 'm knocking one star off there. Good selection of brews, great price meets quality on the meal, good cocktails, good service. Our server had the perfect amount of attentiveness not normal Finnish totally ignore you style, not USA interrupt you every other minute style, but in the middle. I recommend the place and will be back. Make a reservation if you don 't want to chance availability on the bar side.

A funky, family-friendly (and baby friendly! spacious venue with delicious, simple but elegant food! A nice place for the young crowd (they play music on speakers for the diners , but older couples and families would not feel out of place. Service was good, nothing special, but friendly. There's a bar where you can sip some nice cocktails.

Another great spot in Helsinki to have a meal. Given the previous reviews, I went with the Bones burger. Excellent. You wouldn't expect to get such a great burger in Finland of all places, but here I was and I enjoyed every bit of it. I also love the interior inside, decent beer selection, and free wi-fi. Everyone seems to enjoy their experience inside, and that's another plus for Bones.

Start the evening off with a ginger martini and for starters try the seafood platter which contains octopus, king prawns, baby carrots, pike perch and salmon in teriyaki sauce. For a main course you cannot go wrong with the pike perch and for dessert try the cucumber and lychee dessert and parsnip cake. The ambience is nice, the service above average and the food taste great, but to be honest the portions were too small and I left hungry.

Promises what it delivers and comes out decent compared to the price. We had caramel pork and fish plate as starters. The beer selection and suggested wine were great as well as the Boneyard apperticer drink. Service is polite and quick and the restaurant was quite empty when taking in considerarion the locations so Tres Bones might work as a good omg I need a good quality restaurant quick option when travelling in Helsinki.
