The main street on which it stands has many types of other restaurants but mainly of singular types of national menus, most of which appeared rather slightly expensive to the British budget traveller. The restaurant owner who is a naturalised Dane of some 30 years standing, originally of Kurdish origin, was most helpful in the selection of our meal. He even suggested discounts before closing on our option of choice. The food was cooked to perfection and for all that; even given that he himself organised all of the cooking personally, never losing sight of any other customer related enquiries. The internal décor of the establishment is a little dated however, nevertheless I would visit this restaurant again first before all others, should the opportunity ever again presents itself to me to visit Helsingoer.. P.S. I had a further opportunity to visit this establishment again, prior to leaving the area. My first impression remains unchanged.
Kitchen Nightmare next! What a horrible experience. Horrible food, straight out of the microwave! We could here the owner heat up all the food in the microwave and it tasted like sh*t. When we confronted the owner about it (no servers) he got really aggressive and up in our face. We even had kids with us! Please, do not go there.
My friends and I went here to try some traditional Danish dishes, and while the food felt a bit basic, it was still tasty.
Stayed here for a lunch. Took the fish! Seemed like it's just was heated in a microwave! Did not taste good. The sauce was just prefabricated and put in a bowl. Will not eat here again. Positive is the size of the meal. And the location.
Really beautiful lobster and tomato pasta dish.
