Babe's Old Fashioned Food - Helotes

Food was good, service was fast and the overall ambiance of the place was definitely aligned with what you would think of! It was like a diner/sports bar without the bar. If that makes sense? Drinks are self serve, for 2 adults and 1children we spent about $50. I got the crispy salad, my husband got the bacon cheeseburger, side order of onion rings because they don't come with the burger and my kids split an adult tender meal with fries. We also got 2 soft drinks. The overall place, including restrooms is dated but clean-ish. There's a couple games the kids could play while waiting for food. I mean it wouldn't be my #1 spot but definitely wouldn't be my first pick to go back again.

Locally owned business been going here for years. My favorite is the mushroom Swiss burger !!! Favorite App is friend mushrooms pickles. Not too long ago I tried their Buffalo wings (breaded) and they are yummy ... They only have that 1 flavor but really good and not too bready! It's our favorite place for burgers

Decoded to try this babes out instead of going to the one on Huebner. I think they were short staffed, but the two cooks did a great job getting orders out pretty fast. We got a little bit of everything, wanted to try their pizzas, but unfortunately, they were out. Everything was very tasty and will def be back.

My chicken fried chicken was smaller than a chicken strip and the manager didn't care. $12 chicken strip Never going back

Cashier misheard our order. When we asked for it to be corrected, she blamed us for ordering our spicy tenders with no sauce. No apology for the miscommunication, just attitude. Seems to be consistent with other reviews. Plenty of other restaurant options in Helotes.
