Spice 55 Thai And Sushi - Helen

Super friendly and courteous staff! Consider the location before expecting authenticity. We didn 't come for authentic Thai food, more so because we didnt want anymore heavy greasy foods. Even still, food was pretty good. We order pad thai and pad see with shrimp and chicken, 2 orders of california roll, calamari, and one of their specials for the day, Thai pho . The pad thai we received didn 't have the added chicken so when we made it known to our waiter he immediately apologized and took it off our bill. We were surprised. We just didn 't want to pay for the extra chicken we didn 't get. LOL Other than that, my husband said it tasted okay. Same with the pad see ew. Pad thai didn 't come with the usual garnishes. Bean sprouts, lime, peanuts. But was expected considering the location and clientele. My boys really enjoyed the fried calamari, and California rolls. We started with one roll then ordered another because they liked it so. The Thai pho was more like Thai boat noodle imo but I think they used the name pho because most people would relate to that. The pho was the best thing we ordered I felt like. The soup was rich and the proteins flavorful and tender. Some fresh herbs would 've made the dish 100 but we weren 't trying to expect too much. Overall had a decent dinner. Wait staff was excellent.

Spice 55 is an outstanding Thai restaurant and sushi bar. beyond having excellent fresh food the Owned Vince and the staff are super friendly, personable welcoming people. during our 7 day stay in Helen we frequented the restaurant 4 times. the staff really made us feel very appreciated. we even have a sushi roll named after us, Kiss. in your in Helen GA. Didn't expect to find a great sushi restaurant in a German Alpine Village but we did! We started with fried calamari not the Italian dish just an excellent take on it. Then I had the Super Spicy Tuna roll and my wife had the Everything Bagel roll. Both we're great, as was the service. Just the thing after a heavy German lunch.

Oh wow....I cannot express enough what a great 1st experience I had here! Im always on the lookout for great Pad Thai...willing to make a drive to get it too! Gotta say the Pad Thai was good, but truly needed more sauce...flavor was very good and spot on...just more sauce will be requested next time Ordering my Pad Thai to go, I sat at the end of the bar and waited for my order. THEN I see these MASTERPIECES coming out from their sushi/ sashimi menu....literally visual masterpieces! Ya'll....this place does it RIGHT!!! Fresh, tender just outstanding. I thought the Pad Thai wouldn't make it home...ended up that my impromptu order didn't make it outside of Helen!!! Go, enjoy....you won't leave disappointed!!!

Had my birthday dinner here. The sushi was great, really we had some. Our server was such a friendly lady who checked on us regularly. It was relaxing being able to take our time eating after walking around Helen.
