Silver Orange Bistro - Heilbron

Silver Orange Bistro is amazing. The restaurant is in an old manor house on an orange farm. It is quite a small, intimate restaurant. It has an amazing energy. The service was excellent. The food was 10/10, every dish we had was amazing. I highly recommend the rib eye steak. The food looked and tasted so good I forgot to take any pictures. Definitely worth the drive from Jhb and or anywhere else. There also is a venue which we serves food platters and over 60 types of Gin, it was really nice going there after lunch for a drink

I am hesitant to write this review solely for selfish reasons. If more people know what an excellent place this is, it will become more difficult to go there on short notice. The ambience and setting is pleasant and tranquil. The service is professional and unobtrusively attentive. Thuba was excellent. The food was absolutely amazing. We tried to remember a better place where we have had lunch or dinner. We are still busy with that exercise....Silver Orange Bistro is an absolute gem, reasonably priced (but not cheap-which they cannot be to serve such quality) and a MUST VISIT establishment. This was without any doubt our best “find” in the last decade or two!

From making a reservation to ending lunch with coffee ... the Silver Orange experience was pleasant and fantastic! Love the cosy quaint vibe of the classy, upmarket restaurant. The menu is great and also the wine list is excellent. The service is tops and waiters friendly, warm and well informed ... we had a beautiful table setting which was scattered with rose petals for an extra special feel and look. The starter, mains and dessert was absolutely faultless and so delicious. The decor and ambiance is so relaxing and beautiful. Would like to try the more casual restaurant Almost Orange and will definitely return again soon to try other dishes. It’s the small little things and detail that made our dining experience more enjoyable.

What a great find so far from the city. Modern Bistro food with strong Italian influence. Extensive wine list with a substantial Portuguese wine list all wines priced very reasonable.

Culinary heaven! Everything about this place is superb, from the service, quaint deco to citrus gardens and the surprise gin bar at bottom of the property!
