Chalkboard - Healdsburg

Food was mediocre at best. Service was substandard. Everyone was very nice, but gave almost no attention to our table, and we waited for way too long to either place orders, order more drinks, etc.

The total dining experience was terrific. We totally enjoyed our meal and would return again in the future!

Good brunch menu. Food was tasty and service was good. Very attractive outdoor space. Our only issue was the hostess. She was not friendly and dressed pretty strange; halter top with cut-up jeans and sneakers. Not a great first impression.

We’ve dined at Chalkboard in the past so returned when we came back to Sonoma. The wine list was fairly limited which is interesting being in wine country. The by the glass list was very short also. The green salad was delicious but the pasta was undercooked less than Al dente. We were tired and hungry from traveling so we ate it and left. I don’t think we will return. Service was fair waitress had a bit of attitude, like she was tired and wanted to go home.

The dishes at Chalboard are lovely. The taste and flavors are excellent. Although we made a reservation for 4 outside, we were still seated at a table for 6 and in the dark I thought we could have been brought to a table underneath the lights. I also noted in our reservation that a birthday was to be celebrated, but there was no recognition (I certainly did NOT want or expect staff to sing or anything like that) but instead offer a dessert or drink on the house.
