Los Compadres - Hayward

Food was dry. Claims to have the best huevos rancheros but they were not that good. Pricing on menus are completely different than what we were charged. The prices of each meal were 5 dollars more than what the menu had said and there was no verbal warning. I suggest going else where

Love this place. Great food. Home made chips and salsa are the best a must try.

Haven't been here in 30 years, and the restaurant still served it's meals on large oval platters. I had the deluxe tostada. It comes w beans rice. Corn chips. Still serving traditional plates of Mexican food. This is a stick-to-your-ribs type of comida. It you are craving low-carb tortillas or fat-free alternatives, you best try somewhere else. Sorry i dived right in, and forgot the takes pics until I was done. Also great big tables for big groups.

I went into Los Compadres for the first time in ~10 years yesterday. I used to go all the time growing up, but I moved. The food tastes *exactly* like I remember. The building is simple, clean, and the tables are embossed with beautiful tile.Food was great and well prepared. The same owner I remember from childhood is still working. Definitely go here if you're in Hayward and want Mexican food.

Great food but they need to put some money into updating and signage.
