Vernie's Hamburger House - Hays

I have enjoyed eating at Vernie's since I was a kid. That's about 20 years of enjoying their food. The burgers are always hot and delicious. The shakes are amazing. The people that work there are friendly. Lately, they've had some odd hours. This is because of being short staffed. They're actively hiring but help has not been found. I'm not one to complain because I don't know what's happening behind the scene. 5 stars all around! There's a reason they've been open for over 50 years!

Right now it is very concerning that is limited hours when you can dine there anymore. Just take out after 2:45. Today Wednesday August 21 had closed until 12:15. Aren't you losing business this way?. Since this is the third time since July I tried to eat there and being closed for short periods of time this will be the last time. I have so loved dining here thru the years. Maybe hire more than high schoolers. I understand it is a place where high schoolers can work but still I have since people walk out the door when they couldn't dine in. Let's gear toward the customers please.

The best burgers and shakes in town! They also have a fantastic seasonal menu. The service is exceptional!

I absolutely love the local charm of this restaurant. The food is fantastic and the place is very clean. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in town!

This is the best family burger joint in the area! The shakes are definitely worth a visit on their own. I find myself going there 2-3 times a week. I absolutely love it!
