Pondok Selera - Haymarket

I ordered Nasi goreng khas (spicy) and suprised with the taste. It was really good and really 'indonesia '. I definitely will come back and taste another food. Love it!

Yummy Indonesian food, right in the heart of Chinatown. You can't go wrong here, but they can be a little slow at times.

There is a great choice of classmates, but I go for eating in the window for full experience and it was very good. the rendang was perhaps slightly soiled, but had high-quality soft beef and the two sweet dishes were perfect. the sambal has a good taste and is very spicy. the most authentic and tricky Nasi Padang I found here, with the only criticism that there were very few Veg selections (pondok buyung on the other side has a great selection of veg, but overall the quality was not as good as selera). the price of $11.30 is also the same, regardless of whether they charge on meat or prefer the veg.

Service here is very friendly and helpful. we ordered the vegetarian Jackfruit curry with rice. this is such a spicy dish but really delicious! Please pay attention and order them extra rice to help them. the jackfruit is super delicate and tasty, which is great. for 12 get them really baptized by food that is amazing.

I don't expect much because it is located in a food court in Chinatown, Sydney. The soto ayam was pretty good and has delicious chicken stock taste. However the nasi kuning was average and they might need to improve their customer service.
