Port Of Subs - Hawthorne

I ordered the big meatball, but when I picked it up from the heater at my truck, the meat was still COLD. I think I'll just go to McDonald's next time.

The sandwich and sub shop here is definitely the highlight of the area along Highway 95. It puts Subway to shame. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. There’s a large semi-truck parking area, but it can get crowded when the wind picks up for a few days.

I noticed a sign outside indicating that you open early, so I arrived at 9:45 AM. When I asked, I was told that you actually open at 10. I returned at 10, only to find out that you had run out of bread. I came here hoping to grab a bite during my 30-minute DOT break, but instead, I received two different explanations and ended up leaving empty-handed. It was a great disappointment.

Oh, my God! Fresh cut meat and cheese. Soft bread and a wide selection! Great. So glad we found it on our trip home.

I didn't even eat breakfast this morning when I started to drive. I drove 200 miles and arrived at about 10 minutes after 9 this morning, very much looking forward to the New York strip steak cheesesteak. I walked in and they didn't even have enough New York strip to make a whole sandwich. She said maybe I can get enough to make you a sandwich. I don't want a maybe sandwich for full price. I am very disappointed, don't know if I will stop back again. I was a regular customer, don't know about that anymore.
