Dunn's Famous Hawkesbury

This restaurant is for casual dining. The specialty is smoked meat, based on Montreal smoked meat reputation. Dunn's in Hawkesbury lives up to that reputation. With one's meal, one can have drinks, including local microbrewery Beau's on tap.The outdoor patio is extensive and pleasant.Service is friendly and helpful.Parking is no probelm behind the resaurant

Nous sommes allés deux fois à ce restaurant, la première fois, tout était correct. Le service et la nourriture était sans reproche. Il faut dire que nous étions dans le milieu de l'après-midi donc beaucoup moins de client.Nous y sommes retournés le 21 mai dernier, la nourriture ( oeufs bénédictine avec viande fumée ) était excellente. Par contre, un groupe sans réservation s'est présenté et c'est le proprio ou gérant qui est venu nous faire payer pour nous puissions libérer la table, de plus, je n'ai pas pu finir mon reste de café, inacceptable. On était même pas levé de table que les clients s'installaient à notre table. Très déçu de voir l'attitude du gérant/proprio.

First time we went to Dunn's the service & food was great. Next 3 times food fair & service very very slow. Waitresses more interested in carrying conversations between themselves than serving waiting clients. Once we waited almost 30 minutes to be served & the last time we ordered, our food sat waiting for the waitress to bring it to us & when we received it, it was cold! That will be the last to time we go there!!! service should be top priority, not secondary!!!

I have been to other Dunn's locations and this one had a hipper, more fun feel to the place. The service was friendly, but it was definitely on the slow side. The food was solid. I had potato Latkas, they were dense but very tasty. The smoked meat was tender and juicy. Decent portion for 12 dollars and taxes. Located on Main Street in the old part of Hawkesbury, Dunn's seems to be a nice addition to the small Ontarian border city.

The smoke meat at Dunn's is very good, not too much fat, just enough. Fries a good. Prices are reasonable and the service is fast and courteous.
